Anker Solix F2000 Review

Anker Solix F2000 review

The Anker Solix F2000 portable power station is Anker’s largest capacity portable power station.  It provides 2048Wh of capacity in a very appealing appearance, durable, and functional body.

The Solix F2000 name replaces the previous name of Anker PowerHouse 767.  The Anker 767 was a naming/ numbering convention that made sense, based on how this size capacity grew in Anker’s product line.  The Anker Solix home backup system is Anker’s new line of home solar battery systems.  With this, Anker decided the Anker PowerHouse 767 and PowerHouse 757 should be included in this new line of products, due to the large power capacities these units provide.

Anker Solix 2000 Design

The Anker Solix F2000 has a large watt hour capacity, but is designed for portability.  It comes with 4.7” wheels and a pull-out tow handle.  We found that these features make it very easy to move it around.  The pull-out handle collapses nicely into the top of the unit.  So when it is not needed, it’s hardly noticeable.  In addition, the top of the unit is completely flat, making it a very convenient place to rest things.

The overall size is roughly 21” L x 16” H x 10” W.  Which seems good for this size capacity.  The height was convenient, as we seem to always be resting things on it.  The “front” side of the unit is on the long side, which is normal.  But some units do have the front located on the short ends.

As an added feature, the Anker Solix F2000 comes with a led light strip, with an adjustable brightness feature.  This is a convenient feature when trying to plug in devices at night, or in low light.  The Solix F2000 is also very quiet.  The fans do kick on at a certain power consumption level, but it is not a sound that is bothersome.  It is one of the quietest units available.

Anker Solix F2000 Capabilities

Anker PowerHouse 767 featuresThe Solix F2000 comes with 2,048Wh capacity.  The watt hour capacity is sufficient for practically all mobile uses.  In addition, should you need more power from the unit, it is expandable to 4,096Wh with the Anker 760 expansion battery.

The power station is equipped with 4 AC outlets, along with an RV TT-30R outlet.  We found that 4 outlets is a good minimum for these size units, so in that aspect we felt the Solix does well.  It also comes with multiple USB ports for charging other device types. Overall, we felt that the amount and type of outlets was well designed.

Anker Solix F2000 Best Uses

For portable use, the Anker Solix F2000 excels.  For that reason we feel it is an ideal power station  for  camping, RV additional power use, and any other outdoor power need.  At 2048Wh, the weight naturally will increase, but the Solix we found that the wheels and tow handle really make this a none issue.

Here is a brief summary of some of the pros and cons we found with the Anker Solix F2000:

Pros:

  • High output capacity, with good portability
  • 4 AC outlets & 1 RV outlet
  • Side LED strip light
  • Handy flat top, with pull out tow handle
  • Can be charged via AC outlet or solar
  • Good overall design appearance

Cons:

  • No real cons

Overall, we found the Anker Solix F2000 to be well-built, with plenty of features to make this a very convenient source of mobile power.  We like that it is expandable, should you need.  However, for most daily outdoor uses having 2,000 Wh available should be plenty.  For powering a home system and adding on to it, there are other power stations that might be better suited for that application.

The Anker Solix F2000 though is designed to give convenient portable energy, and that it we feel it excels.  For mobile use, at this mid level capacity, currently there is nothing better.  With the Anker Solix F2000, Anker is helping raise the bar in high quality portable power stations
